[Check-in Campaign] 2026 ACC Taipei Tech Summer Event “Design @ TaipeiTech: Mapping Coordinates” Connects 3 Departments and 5 Exhibitions
When the span of architecture meets the precision of industrial design, and further intertwines with the dimensions of interaction, how might the campus be redefined?
To showcase the hands-on creativity and design strength of Taipei Tech, the Arts & Cultural Center, Taipei Tech officially launches its annual summer event in May 2026 — “Design @ TaipeiTech: Mapping Coordinates.”
This event breaks down disciplinary boundaries by bringing together three departments of the College of Design — Architecture, Industrial Design, and Interaction Design — at the Arts & Cultural Center. The program features three graduation exhibitions and two design achievement exhibitions by first- to third-year students. More than a comprehensive presentation of student work, this event also reflects the Arts & Cultural Center’s commitment to promoting aesthetic education on campus and integrating artistic appreciation into everyday life.
To encourage participation from faculty, students, and the wider public, all exhibitions in this design series are open to visitors free of charge. It is a rare opportunity to experience the creative energy of emerging designers up close.
In the world of design, every great creation begins with a precise “coordinate.” Architects use coordinates to define structures, industrial designers use them to ensure precision, and interaction designers use them to connect people with the digital world.
Inspired by this idea, the curatorial concept transforms the Taipei Tech campus into a vast sensory map, turning the act of visiting exhibitions into a process of “collection.” The event title draws from designers’ pursuit of precision, inviting participants to become “collectors” as they move through the campus. Through Perception, Experience, and ultimately a sense of Place, visitors are encouraged to capture the unique aesthetic coordinates of Taipei Tech.
Taipei Tech design has long been recognized for its strong foundation in practical training and innovative thinking. Through the perspective of “Capturing Perception, Experience, and Place,” participants will journey through different corners of the campus, following coordinates between the physical and virtual. Along the way, they will piece together a design landscape unique to Taipei Tech and experience how designers transform abstract ideas into tangible spaces and future experiences.
