Inclusive Sustainability, Constructing the Future: Master’s Design Exhibition of the Institute of Architecture and Urban Design

Exhibition Period|2017/06/04~06/12

In response to rapid global population aging alongside critical cultural and environmental challenges, this year's exhibition is themed "Inclusive Sustainability, Constructing the Future." The connection between the entrance installation and the display structures incorporates the concept of "sustainable cycles," reflecting a deep care for the environment and the creation of a symbiotic, mutually beneficial ecosystem. The viewing pathway is laid out in an organic, staggered arrangement, freeing the individual projects from rigid, conventional boundaries and allowing visitors to experience a seamless harmony between spatial architecture and creative content. Under the dedicated guidance of their professors, students have come to understand that architecture is never limited merely to the physical objects visible in the present moment. Instead, it encompasses a three-dimensional framework of space and time that links the past, present, and future. Driven by a desire to enhance the well-being of society in Taiwan, the students have formulated a thorough, idealistic vision for architecture. They have translated their classroom scholarship into practice, brainstorming solutions centered on environmental sustainability. Beyond expressing their profound care for Taiwanese society and their intense passion for spatial design, the students hope these works demonstrate the unique, transformative design energy of the Graduate Institute of Architecture and Urban Design at Taipei Tech.
