2022 New Parliamentary District Design Workshop — Exhibition of成果
Exhibition Period|2022/07/08~07/20
In response to the proposed relocation of Taiwan’s Legislative Yuan, the Urban Design Institute aimed to gather insights from professionals in spatial design and members of the public through forums and workshops. By encouraging dialogue, collaboration, and consensus-building, the initiative sought to generate professional perspectives that could also serve as the conceptual foundation for a future design competition for the new parliamentary district.
The Institute held an 11-day workshop成果 exhibition at the NTUT Arts Center, with an opening tour and intercollegiate review involving seven universities on July 9. The exhibition presented visionary and groundbreaking proposals for the future of Taiwan’s democratic society and architecture in a new era. Through these works, the public was invited to imagine “a new generation parliamentary district” encompassing qualities such as sacredness, market integration, international perspective, local identity, and future-oriented thinking. The exhibition aimed to provide references for future decision-making regarding architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, and urban planning related to the relocation of the Legislative Yuan, while inspiring new possibilities for the future.
