The Wind Approaches — Department of Industrial Design Class of 2023 Graduation Exhibition

Exhibition Period|2023/05/08~05/14

In mid-May, the Arts and Culture Center at National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech) hosted the Department of Industrial Design's Graduation Exhibition, showcasing a comprehensive collection of product design, furniture, and interior design. The students' broad professional expertise, paired with the specialized guidance of their mentors, culminated in an exhibition rich with creativity, aesthetic refinement, and responses to critical contemporary social issues. Across both the product design and the furniture and interior design tracks, the works emphasize integrating design with daily human needs while placing a strong focus on environmental sustainability. Notable projects include Yue Shan Qiu (Reading the Hills), a concept bookstore designed to awaken sensory living, aiming to stimulate and restore real-life human experiences in today’s hyper-digital age. Another highlight is the AI Earthquake Life-Detection Drone System, featuring a primary drone designed to sweep massive disaster zones for survivors, paired with secondary micro-drones that penetrate deep rubble to monitor victims' vitals, providing invaluable assistance to rescue teams. This graduation exhibition beautifully showcases the creative vision and exceptional execution of Taipei Tech’s industrial design students. Addressing modern challenges with rich, diverse, and aesthetically stunning concepts, these works offer tangible, effective solutions to real-world problems. We are confident that these emerging design talents will inject a fresh wave of creative vitality into society, and that their positive, innovative ideas will continue to pave the way toward a better tomorrow!
