Exhibition Period｜2023/07/18～08/04

Jointly organized by the Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines and the Taiwan Poster Design Association, the 9th Taiwan Indigenous Poster Biennale centers on the competition theme, "The Beauty of Artifacts." Through the unique lenses, vision, and ingenuity of the participating designers, the exquisite craftsmanship of traditional indigenous artifacts is brought to light in a stunning new contemporary form. Among the 71 exceptional works featured in this exhibition, the bamboo weaving piece utilizes bamboo strips to weave together male and female forms, beautifully symbolizing the Amis people weaving a tapestry of shared tribal faith. Celebrating traditional weaving culture, the poster blends intricate textile textures with powerful animal motifs, capturing the endless vitality of indigenous life and cultural heritage. Furthermore, numerous designs celebrating traditional musical instruments highlight the inseparable bond between music and indigenous life. This year, the exhibition opening was enriched by live musical and dance performances. Flute recitals by the Magic Flute Forest and elegant Japanese Buyo dance by the Shiriu Shisho Association added the perfect finishing touch—blending the soft, melodic strains of the flute with graceful, calculated choreography to bring the entire exhibition to life.
