Material × Art Singularity — Graduation Exhibition of the Industry-Academia Woodcraft Program

The theme of this exhibition is inspired by the concept of the “Singularity,” referring to the major events or species that emerge throughout history at different points in time. Coincidentally, just one year after the previous special program exhibition, this exhibition presents a completely different and astonishing experience, echoing the idea of transformation and breakthrough. “Material and Art” represents the fusion of substance, texture, art, craftsmanship, and creativity. When material and art intertwine, unexpected works are created, bringing extraordinary changes to the art world and allowing viewers to freely explore imagination alongside the creators through the exhibition. This exhibition features a total of 30 works divided into three categories: furniture projects, woodcraft competition works, and chair furniture designs. The works respond to contemporary spatial and daily life needs, demonstrating students’ understanding of materials and ergonomics, while showcasing their professional skills in overcoming the strict requirements of structural design. With their dedication to continuous improvement, these students are expected to become important contributors to Taiwan’s woodcraft and furniture design industry.
