2024 Asian Young Architects Award Taiwan Selection Competition

An era is approaching in which technology surpasses human understanding and brings revolutionary changes to our lives, work, and society. In the past, the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) was relatively slow and did not become a major topic of discussion. However, with the emergence of generative AI technologies such as ChatGPT, Google Bard, and Bing AI, people have begun to seriously reflect on the role of AI. Some even believe that AI will not merely replace humans, but may surpass human intelligence by 2025. How will the evolution of AI affect our future? As society moves toward the technological singularity, will architectural design eventually be replaced by AI? If there are aspects of architectural design that AI cannot replace, what might they be? Through this exhibition, we look forward to seeing diverse and innovative answers from students across Asia.
