Generation of Speed — Taipei Tech Racing Retrospective Exhibition

Exhibition Period|2020/07/05~07/13

From July 7 to July 12, Taipei Tech Racing held the Taipei Tech Racing Retrospective Exhibition and New Technology Presentation, showcasing the team’s hand-built fifth-generation electric race car. The latest vehicle not only achieved improvements in stability and safety, but also focused on breakthroughs in its powertrain system and aerodynamic package. Through the development of a more reliable power system and advanced aerodynamic components, the team aimed to enhance the car’s overall performance on the racetrack.

Entering its sixth year, the Taipei Tech Racing team was established in 2014 by undergraduate and graduate students from the Department of Vehicle Engineering. It became the second Formula SAE (FSAE) university racing team founded by college students in Taiwan. Looking back at its development history, from the first-generation race car Project One to TTR 4, the team primarily focused on gasoline-powered race cars, utilizing relatively mature engine technologies to achieve stable vehicle performance and continuous technical development.

During the TTR 4 season, the team further challenged itself by developing its first-ever electric race car, moving toward environmentally conscious engineering and future-oriented automotive technologies. The exhibition not only reviewed the team’s technical evolution and racing achievements over the years, but also highlighted the students’ dedication to innovation, engineering design, and hands-on manufacturing.
