Co-Evolution Project — Department of Industrial Design Class of 2018 Graduation Exhibition

Exhibition Period|2022/04/19~04/30

This exhibition theme originated from reflections on the “pandemic era” and the transformations within society. As the world was forced to change its modes of operation and evolve alongside the pandemic, the exhibition uses a fictional imaginary world to explore and understand the relationship between design and society. Designers identify “pain points,” propose solutions, and allow ideas to evolve through testing and validation. Just as the fictional character “Alice” observes change and creates outcomes that generate shared understanding, designers and the public become interconnected like quantum entanglement, forming relationships throughout the design process. In the same way that Alice and Bob become linked through co-evolution, the students of the Department of Industrial Design are themselves “Alices” participating in this Co-Evolution Project. Through the evolving process called design, they gradually connect with society and create new perspectives through interaction and collision of ideas.
