After a long hiatus, the Taipei Tech Architecture Joint Exhibition makes its highly anticipated return. Under the title "The 11-Day Confession," this eleven-day event represents a journey for students who have long wandered between systems, standards, selfhood, and expectations, as they strive to reconnect with their original aspirations. Both the exhibitors and the curatorial team nakedly declare this exhibition as a confession to themselves—a raw reflection of moments on the brink of breakdown, moments of numbness to the world, and moments of unexpected, profound happiness. These perceptions constantly drift between the collective and the individual, vivid yet blurred. Reflecting this duality, the gallery is divided into two distinct zones: "Individual Confessions" and "The Collective Form." In "Individual Confessions," the text explores how individuals, once detached from the collective, highlight a multitude of unpredictable underlying messages. Conversely, "The Collective Form" illustrates that the group is highly elastic, seemingly possessing infinite inclusivity. While it is often more easily understood by the public, it also becomes blurred and obscured under the continuous shifting of its collective facade. Is it because "the collective form" cannot easily reveal too much that its very existence becomes difficult to discern? Through "The 11-Day Confession," the exhibition uses architectural vocabulary to articulate the contradictions between the individual and the collective. Decorative elements visualize the struggles and wanderings experienced throughout the creative exploration, ultimately serving to manifest the very essence of art.
