Midsummer Afternoon Music Party — Charity Concert

Exhibition Period|2024/06/29

During the midsummer of 2024, the NTUT Arts Center hosted a charity concert titled Midsummer Afternoon Music Party. Throughout history, music has played an essential role in human life, from everyday songs to important celebrations and ceremonies. This afternoon concert, guided by flutist Wu Hsiang-Yu, featured a rich and diverse musical program performed through instruments such as violin, flute, piano, and guitar. Audiences were able to enjoy a wide range of music, from timeless Western classical pieces and beloved works by Joe Hisaishi to familiar contemporary popular songs. Through music, the event not only cultivated aesthetic appreciation on campus, but also strengthened connections with the local community, bringing people closer together in the midst of urban life. In the shared experience of performing and listening, participants were able to express emotions and find comfort. Here, there was no need to discuss the future or social and political issues—only to let music gently soothe and cleanse the body and soul.
