Golden Years · Urban Pulse — Metal Craft Flowing Through Everyday Life

Exhibition Period|2024/09/26~10/19

“Craft is to life what air is to living.” Metal exists everywhere in our daily lives. From personal accessories and mobile phones we carry with us, to durable coffee pots and cast-iron cookware, as well as household lighting, steel building structures, and transportation vehicles, traces of metal materials can be found all around us. With its superior flexibility and adaptability in processing, metal offers more diverse possibilities compared to materials such as ceramics, wood, or stone, creating everyday landscapes that combine both practicality and beauty. To celebrate its 70th anniversary, the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute organized the exhibition Golden Years · Urban Pulse — Metal Craft Flowing Through Everyday Life, inviting audiences to explore the seemingly ordinary yet extraordinary metal crafts hidden within the city, and to experience the delicate balance between functionality and aesthetics embodied in craftsmanship.
