Modern society is navigating unpredictable transformations, including climate change, shifting demographics, technological revolutions, and increasingly diverse social issues. In response, architecture must possess the agility to adapt and create sustainable environments. A "resilient architecture" refers to built forms that can evolve alongside the passage of time, altering purposes, and environmental or societal shifts. Such architecture does not merely pursue structural durability; it emphasizes flexibility, adaptability, and forward-looking preparedness. Centered on the theme "Resilient Architecture," this year's ACARA invites universities across Asia to propose diverse solutions generated through their own design curricula. We look forward to seeing participants approach this topic from a multitude of angles—such as flexible spatial compositions that accommodate changing functions, design methodologies that adapt to environmental shifts, and architectural approaches that foster symbiosis with local communities. Let us together explore a vision for future architecture that responds to change and continuously evolves.
